About the Role
The Systems Technician is an entry-level to junior technical role focused on delivering excellent hands-on IT support to our clients. You’ll spend much of your time at client sites across Metro Vancouver, helping end users solve problems, setting up workstations, and keeping technology running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, communicates well, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to clients via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits.
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals for end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Travel to client sites in Metro Vancouver to deliver onsite support and assist with project work.
- Log and track all work accurately in the ticketing system, meeting response time SLAs.
- Assist the senior technical team with infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, escalating issues to the Service Manager when appropriate.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a helpdesk, IT support, or similar technical role (co-op experience considered).
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong customer service skills and a patient, professional manner with end users.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently at client sites.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to a vehicle required.
- Experience with RMM tools or ticketing systems is an asset.
Compensation
Starting at $25/hr.
