Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: July 4, 2026.

Effective date: July 4, 2026. This policy applies to resolved.ca and is published by Resolved Business IT Solutions Inc. ("Resolved," "we," "us," or "our").

Governing Law

Resolved Business IT Solutions Inc. is headquartered in British Columbia, Canada. This policy, and any dispute about our collection or use of your information, is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are located outside Canada and choose to provide us information, you understand your information will be processed under Canadian law.

Collection of Information

We collect non-personally identifiable information about you in a number of ways, including tracking your activities through your IP address or most-recently-visited URL. However, we do not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily submit contact information to us, such as name, phone, email address, and mailing address by filling out a form or survey, registering your email address with us or emailing us. We may also collect personal information from you at other points on our site that state that personal information is being collected.

Disclosure of Information

We do not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to any third parties.

Use of Information

We use personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information for internal marketing purposes, for trend analysis, for pattern detection, and for site administration. However, we do not use personally identifiable information collected from the website to send unsolicited mailings to you, other than follow-up you request when you submit it, such as our AI and IT Readiness Assessment described below. Of course, if applicable, we do use personally identifiable information to perform the services for which such data was collected (i.e., if you sign up for an email newsletter, we will send the email newsletter to the address you provide us).

AI and IT Readiness Assessment

When you complete our online readiness assessment and submit your email, you are requesting your result and agreeing that a Resolved advisor may follow up with you by email about it, normally within one business day. If you add a phone number and tick the call option, you are also agreeing to a short phone call; the call is optional and is never a condition of receiving your result. We store the answers you give, your resulting score, and the firm details you provide (such as your role, firm size, and discipline) on a lead record so an advisor can review it and tailor any follow-up. We use this information to help you and to improve the assessment, not to send you unrelated marketing. You can opt out of any further contact at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, by replying to us, or by contacting us at (604) 335-5574 or [email protected], and you can ask us to review or remove your data as described below. If you would rather receive your result with no follow-up at all, use the copy-only option shown at the assessment.

We provide you the opportunity to opt-out of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information. For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained in the footer of the email.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the footer included in each newsletter or communication, by emailing us at the reply address of the email, or by contacting us at (604) 335-5574 and selecting the dispatch option.

Third Party Sites

This policy only addresses our activities from our servers. Other sites (including those that we link to within an advertisement, article or otherwise, and third party sites or services with which we offer or co-brand) may have their own policies, which we do not control, and thus are not addressed by this policy.

Review and Removal of Your Personally Identifiable Data

If you provide us with personally identifiable information to have us perform ongoing services to you, we will provide you with a way to review the information we have on file and either change or remove such data. To do so, please notify us via post or [email protected] and we will provide you with your contact information for review. To make changes, send us the changes and we will respond to your request for access within thirty (30) days of the request. Unfortunately, to the extent that such information is also stored in other databases, we cannot always ensure that such corrections or deletions will reach the other databases. If you wish to have information you provided to us online removed from our records, please provide us with the information as you submitted it to us at [email protected]. We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that your information is removed from our records.

Cookies and Other Tracking Methods

When you view our website, we may store small files, cookies or similar technologies, on your device. These help us navigate a website as easily as possible, remember your preferences, and understand in aggregate how visitors use our site, which in turn helps us focus our resources on the features that matter most to our visitors. You are always free to decline cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of our site may not work as intended if you do.

Analytics, Tracking, and Third-Party Tools

We use the following third-party tools on resolved.ca. Each may set its own cookies or collect technical data (such as your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited) under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4: we use Google Tag Manager to manage tags on our site, including Google Analytics 4, which gives us aggregate reporting on page visits, time on page, traffic sources, and visitor behaviour so we can improve the site.
  • Microsoft Clarity: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site, including through session recordings and heatmaps of on-page activity. Clarity masks sensitive form fields by default; do not enter information in a form you would not want captured in a session recording.
  • "Ask Resolved" AI chat widget: if you use the "Ask Resolved" chat assistant on our site, the questions and messages you send are processed by our AI provider to generate a response. We do not use your chat messages to train any AI model, and you should avoid sharing sensitive personal or confidential business information in the chat.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: we use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms to verify that a submission is coming from a person rather than automated software. Turnstile may process technical and device information as part of that check.

We do not control these third parties' own data practices, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you want more detail on how each of them handles information.

Legal Disclosure

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.

Security

We use industry-standard methods to protect your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access. Among other techniques, we usually store such information on a computer behind our "firewall" in a secure location, and we often restrict the number of employees internally who can access such data. Of course, there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet.

Amendments

Amendments to this policy will be posted at this URL and will be effective when posted.

Changes in this Privacy Statement

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.
