BIM Consultant

Vancouver, BC · Full-Time Hybrid / Remote · Reports to: CIO

About the Role

The BIM Consultant owns the BIM side of our technology practice and helps our architecture and engineering clients get the most out of their design environment: Revit and BIM standards, worksharing and model management, template and family libraries, and the infrastructure that keeps large models fast. You translate deep AEC domain knowledge into how we design, secure, and support each firm's technology, working alongside our engineers and reporting to the CIO.

Key Responsibilities

  • BIM Standards & Templates | Define and maintain Revit standards, templates, and family libraries for client firms, and help teams actually adopt them across projects.
  • Worksharing & Model Management | Advise on worksharing, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and Revit Server, plus model health and large-model performance.
  • Infrastructure Alignment | Work with our engineers to size workstations, storage, and networking for multi-gigabyte models and point clouds.
  • Training & Adoption | Run training and build the habits that make BIM standards stick, from new hires to principals.
  • BIM Technology Roadmap | Advise clients, and our CIO, on where BIM and design technology are headed and what to adopt next.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator, or senior Revit role at an architecture or engineering firm.
  • Deep Revit expertise, plus hands-on knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and/or Revit Server.
  • Strong grasp of worksharing, large-model performance, and family and template management.
  • Working understanding of the infrastructure behind BIM: workstation specs, storage, and networking for large models.
  • Excellent communication; comfortable training teams and advising firm leadership.
  • Bonus: exposure to Navisworks, Dynamo, point-cloud workflows, or AEC data and automation.

Compensation

Competitive, based on experience.
